We identify and solve irreducible problems.

Scope

Some constraints are obvious. Others only appear once you try to build.

We focus on irreducible problems — dependencies, limits, and failure modes that were not previously understood, and that cannot be bypassed once exposed.

Finding these early, and resolving them correctly, is where our leverage comes from.

Much of this work isn't public. What matters is that the solution holds.

Method

We do research through product development.

Understanding and building happen in parallel:

  • research informs design immediately
  • building reveals constraints research alone cannot
  • both converge on a working system

This is how we surface irreducible problems before they become bottlenecks — and how we turn them into durable capability.

Context

Complex systems are being built faster, with fewer external dependencies.

As iteration accelerates, unknown constraints surface later and cost more to fix. Waiting for certainty is no longer viable, but building blindly compounds risk.

The advantage now lies in seeing irreducible problems early — and resolving them before others encounter them downstream.

Careers

We're always hiring.

Work here is exploratory, but disciplined. You take responsibility for discovering what matters, and for making it work.

Depth, judgment, and ownership matter more than polish.

Grants

We offer short, paid project grants to explore technical ideas together.

These are scoped, time-bounded, and treated as real work.
